The Write Point Mission is to CONNECT the artists with other professionals in the “literary industry”. When someone is just beginning their journey into the field, it’s hard to know where to look for answers. The web is so saturated with sites and blogs of How-to’s. Which do you read? How do you know if they’re legitimate? How can I trust an absolute stranger?
A year ago, I created The Write Point as a hang out place for writers. Several years before that I had searched all around the Internet for guides and answers on becoming a better writer, a place to find other newbies to learn with, discussions on the ins and outs of traditional publishing, self-publishing, editing, e-book formatting, and more. I was overwhelmed by the amount of resources to sift through. So, here we are.
As I learn more and more about the writing community, my vision grows. Not only do I feel the writers struggle to find the answers they seek, but the professionals looking for writers who compliment them and their businesses also find it difficult.
The Write Point has new and experienced writers. We have groups for professionals to connect and build relationships. We have discussion boards to learn more about the difficulties in getting a book out into the hands of the public, as well as boards to show off our skills.
